The Libertad Difference.

We made it lighter

Libertad can be worn in a wider temperature range. You can layer a light shirt to be warmer in the cold, but you can’t make a heavy wool shirt cooler.

We made it smoother

We buzzed the woolly fuzz for a 21st Century face lift - Wool that doesn’t look like wool!

We made it firmer

Untamed Merino is so soft it droops over the shoulders like pajamas. We spun it tighter to give it some backbone and a crisp appearance.

We made it dressier

You’ll never be underdressed with Libertad’s exclusive finish. Subtle & understated, it strikes the perfect balance of elegance without ostentation.

Just Awesome

This shirt performed flawlessly in 100+ degree summer heat in Japan. Not only that, but it looks great. Fit is perfect, sleeves just right, collar is on point. If you're on the fence and wondering if these are worth it... they definitely are. Hands down the nicest travel shirt I've ever owned.

Pocket is really big. But quality is there. Good feel and colour. Make sure to check measurements.

Tried a few wool shirts, this is my favorite

I tried a few merino wool shirts & this is by far my favorite. It is slim enough to look modern (I got the modern large, I am 5ft 11), I like that I can wear it tucked or untucked, I didn't smell (I had a merino wool undershirt), and it is pretty easy to wash / clean.

When I ironed it, it took pretty well & stayed looking sharp even when packed for flights, etc. about as well as the best "no iron" shirts I have.

It still gets wrinkles after washing it, so it needs to be ironed, but it isn't that bad. If I didn't iron it for a work event, it wouldn't be too terrible.

I also have some fitted custom shirts & this looks about as sharp.

"unbound' has a pretty good dress shirt as a more casual version. But I like the Libertad MUCH MUCH.

Good Sizing

I've gotten used to the fit of custom shirts that I stock up on every time I go to Thailand or Hong Kong. That was my only knock against all the Merino casual shirt offerings of the different brands. I'm 5'10" and would describe myself as in-shape/fit, but not bulky. Most shirts aren't made for men that work out. But, I ordered the M-Modern and was really pleased. Technically, I could have it altered, but this is probably the closest to my preferred fit as any shirt I've ever bought right out of the store.

22-hr test

I normally wear a Merino t-shirt from another brand when I travel. But, this time I decided to try something nicer and Libertad is definitely that (kudos). On my 22-hr flight with layovers to Singapore, the Merino of this dress shirt performed as expected and reaffirmed my love of all things wool. However, I just prefer to travel in a t-shirt. It is more comfortable sleeping in the plane and also hides the inevitable messes that occur during long hours of travel. I know Libertad is big into looking nice when you travel, but I think a t-shirt is just fine.
